On International Blvd. just up from Fruitvale is the beautiful Fruitvale Medical Building. Shining in the afternoon sun, you can see its gothic revival crenelations against the blue sky.

I used to go to this building when Dr. Parker was there in the 60's. The old elevators with the attendants were the last of their kind

Wowza! Haven't seen elevators with attendants in forever.

Since you were in Oakland in the 60s...any memories of Peralta Playland? It was near the Kaiser convention Center along the channel between Lake Merritt and the estuary.
