signs: G&G Hardware

G & G Hardware

Thanks to The Oakland Berkeley Journal, I found out about the G&G Hardware sign on Telegraph. I went over to the Oakland Library's Tool Lending Library at the Temescal branch today, and took some pictures while I was in the area.

G & G Hardware

I took a better picture of the sign when the light was right. It really is a beautiful sign.

This is one of my favorites---and I'm so glad that the businesses there now keep the sign up. (Same story on some of the buildings in Rockridge that still have their old signs, too.)

This one's a great sign, definitely one of my favorites so far -- great colors and the Dutch Boy intact.

I'm enjoying your blog and looking forward to exploring your other links. There is quite a nice neon bellboy sign for a drycleaner's on Piedmont Ave, one of my all-time favorites is something called the Tip-Top club, off San Pablo between El Cerrito and Berkeley.

Thanks for the encouragement and suggestions. I can't find the Tip-Top club on Google Maps, but in any event, it's not in Oakland so I won't get to it until I run out of signs here :-)
