fall color, Oakland-style

fall color

Ispotted this bit of fall color as I was leaving the Habitat for Humanity site in the Woodland neighborhood, near Tassafaronga Rec Center.

It's been a very odd winter. I noticed how the leaves are just now changing on a lot of the trees. They are beautiful but so late, this year.

Given the long, cool summer and heat wave in the fall, it's not surprising the trees are a bit off. Then there's our neighbor's maple, that's always been a couple seasons off anyways. It'll turn colors next spring :-)
